Tempe Police Confirm Death of Wells Fargo Employee Found Four Days After Last Shift
A Wells Fargo employee in Tempe, Arizona, tragically passed away at her workplace and was discovered four days later, local authorities have reported.
Denise Prudhomme, 60, last clocked in at the bank on the morning of August 16. On August 20, security personnel found her unresponsive at a third-floor desk, prompting them to alert law enforcement. Firefighters arrived on the scene and declared Prudhomme dead at 4:55 p.m., according to the Tempe Police Department.
The Office of the Medical Examiner is currently determining the cause and manner of death, which remains pending. Police indicated that the initial investigation revealed no apparent signs of foul play. They are continuing to interview employees to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding her death.
Some coworkers reported noticing a foul odor but assumed it was related to plumbing issues, as Prudhomme’s cubicle was located away from the main area of the office. While many employees work remotely, the building maintains 24/7 security.
In a statement, Wells Fargo expressed sorrow over Prudhomme’s passing, offering condolences to her family and friends. The company also mentioned that counselors are available to support employees during this difficult time and that they are fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
